Based on the story by Ukrainian novelist Nikolai Gogol, the new musical features a book, music, and lyrics by Kit Goldstein Grant.

Producers Judith Manocherian, Multicultural Sonic Evolution, and Theatre Now New York are presenting a pair of NYC industry readings for the new musical Christmas Eve in Dikanka. The presentations will be given at Pearl Studios December 11 at 3 and 7 PM.

Based on the story by Ukrainian novelist Nikolai Gogol, the work features a book, music, and lyrics by Kit Goldstein Grant. The tale follows a blacksmith faced with the decision of whether or not to give up his soul for a pair of fancy shoes, the desire of his beloved.

Rachel Klein will direct a cast of five, to be announced. Henco Espag is handling music direction.
