Tony winner Chita Rivera will kick off the second season of Broadway in Worcester alongside Seth Rudetsky: An Evening with Chita Rivera and Seth Rudetsky will be presented September 23 at the Jean McDonough Arts Center’s BrickBox Theatre in Massachusetts.

Launched by Worcester native Eric Butler, Broadway in Worcester connects Broadway talent with local artists and audience members from the Central Massachusetts area. Rivera and Rudetsky will open the second season with an unscripted evening filled with songs and stories from Rivera's theatrical career, including the many roles she originated, including Anita in West Side Story, Rose in Bye Bye Birdie, and Velma in Chicago, among many others. 

Rivera will also offer educational sessions in partnership with Broadway in Worcester, the Worcester Public Schools, and the Hanover Theater and Conservatory. Masks will be required for all attendees.
