The Chicago production of Hamilton will release a new batch of tickets later this month. A 16-week block of seats for performances from January 9, 2018, through April 29 will be made available beginning August 29 at 10 AM.
Montego Glover
The tickets can be purchased at BroadwayinChicago.com, by calling (800) 775-2000, or in person at the PrivateBank Theatre Box Office. There is a maximum purchase limit of 12 tickets per household for performances in the new window.
In addition to the new block of tickets, the Chicago production will continue to run its online lottery for 44 $10 seats for every performance. Those who wish to enter can do so at BroadwayInChicago.com or through the official Hamilton app.
The current Chicago company includes Miguel Cervantes as Alexander Hamilton, Alexander Gemignani as King George III, Ari Afsar as Eliza Hamilton, Jonathan Kirkland as George Washington, Samantha Marie Ware as Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds, and Chris De’Sean Lee as Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson.
Tony nominee Montego Glover will assume the role of Angelica Schuyler (originated in the Chicago production by Karen Olivo) in early September; beginning September 8, Gregory Treco—an alum of the Broadway production—will play Aaron Burr in the Windy City.
In addition to the Chicago engagement, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical continues to play the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway, and the first national tour is currently in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre. The show will make its U.K. premiere at the Victoria Palace Theatre in November.
The play comes on the heels of a broader cultural conversation about Dahl's work and the prejudice that was embedded in many of his most beloved stories.
