Casting is complete for the upcoming staging of the original 1947 radio play of Miracle on 34th Street, which will be presented at the Pasadena Playhouse December 14–23.
Staged in honor of the original film's 70th anniversary, the limited engagement will be directed by Cameron Watson and star Alfred Molina as Kris Kringle.
Joining him will be Peri Gilpin, Beth Grant, Yvette Cason,
Michael Chieffo,
Jeff Gardner,
Ryan Johnson,
Larry Poindexter,
Jim Rash, and
Ceilia Witt.
Miracle on 34th Street will be performed as it would have been 70 years ago as a radio show: sound designer Jeff Gardner and composer and musician Ryan Johnson will be onstage to complete the soundscape for the would-be radio audience listening at home.
