The Connecticut Repertory Theatre production of Kander and Ebb’s Cabaret, starring Laura Michelle Kelly as Sally Bowles and Tony Award nominee Forrest McClendon as the Emcee, begins performances July 4 in Storrs, Connecticut.

Performances run through July 21 in the Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre on the University of Connecticut campus.

In addition to Kelly (Finding Neverland, The Royal Family of Broadway) and McClendon (The Scottsboro Boys), the cast of Cabaret also includes Tony Award nominee Dee Hoty (The Will Rogers Follies, Bright Star) as Fraulein Schneider, Jonathan Brody as Herr Schultz, Leslie Blake Walker as Fraulein Kost, Aidan Marchetti as Ernst Ludwig, and Thomas Bergamo as Hans.

The cast is completed by Jamie Colburn, Mike Katz, RJ Higton, Maddie Dunn, Tori D’Alessandro, Rebekah Santiago, Sydney Skye, and Emma Dowdy.

Scott LaFeber directs with choreography by Christopher D’Amboise. Scenic design is by Alexander Woodward, costume design is by Fan Zhang, lighting design is by Timothy Reed, and sound design is by Michael Skinner. Ken Clifton is music director, and Tom Kosis is stage manager. Terrence Mann, who staged Mamma Mia! at CT Rep earlier this summer, is the production’s associate director.

Cabaret has music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb and a book by Joe Masteroff.
