Jacobs succeeds Catherine Charlebois in the role of Nessarose. The evening performance also welcomes the return of P.J. Benjamin as The Wizard; Benjamin follows Tom McGowan in the role.

Jacobs and Benjamin join a cast that currently includes Caroline Bowman as Elphaba, Kara Lindsay as Glinda, Matt Shingledecker as Fiyero, Kathy Fitzgerald as Madame Morrible, Timothy Britten Parker as Dr. Dillamond and Robin De Jesus as Boq.

Jacobs played Nina opposite Lin-Manuel Miranda in the Broadway production of In The Heights. Prior to his six-year run as The Wizard on Broadway and across the country, Benjamin appeared as "Mr. Cellophane" Amos Hart in Chicago.

Winner of over 100 international awards, including the Grammy Award and three Tony Awards, Wicked, according to production notes, is "the untold story of the witches of Oz. Long before Dorothy drops in, two other girls meet in the land of Oz. One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. Wicked tells the story of their remarkable odyssey, how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good."
