Broadway's Oldest Living Mrs. Anna Sings to King and I Tony Winner Kelli O'Hara (Video) | Playbill

News Broadway's Oldest Living Mrs. Anna Sings to King and I Tony Winner Kelli O'Hara (Video) In a classic example of intergenerational Broadway solidarity, 100-year-old Patricia Morison, the eldest living actress to have played Mrs. Anna Leonowens on Broadway, sent a singing message of support to 2015 Tony winner, Kelli O'Hara, who is currently playing the role on Broadway.

Morison, who is best known for having originated the role of Lilli Vanessi in Kiss Me, Kate (1948), later replaced Gertrude Lawrence in the original production of The King and I opposite Yul Brynner.

In the video below, she shows a photo of herself in the role, then sings a snatch of "Shall We Dance" from the score, a cappella.

The video was posted by Scott Feinberg.
