McLane, who succeeds Lisa Brescia, is the longest running principal in the 13-year global history of the ABBA-packed romantic musical comedy with songs by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus.

McLane appeared in Off-Broadway's Johnny Guitar, for which she received Drama Desk and Drama League Award nominations. She was also in the cast of the original companies of the Broadway musicals Kiss of the Spider Woman, Aspects of Love and Chess. She recently starred as Diana in Next to Normal for Pioneer Theatre Company in Salt Lake City.

Mamma Mia! is written by Catherine Johnson and directed by Phyllida Lloyd. The show is now the tenth longest running show in Broadway history.

The musical, set on a Greek island, concerns a daughter's quest to discover the identity of her father. She invites three men from her mother's past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago. The show's score includes such ABBA classics as "Dancing Queen"; "The Winner Takes It All"; "Money, Money, Money"; "Take a Chance on Me" and more.
