Two-time Tony nominee Lewis J. Stadlen will lead the cast of Death of a Salesman as Willy Loman at Flint Institute of Music's Flint Repertory Theatre, with a run set at the Michigan venue for September 23–October 9. The production will be directed by FRT Producing Artistic Director Michael Lluberes.
Joining Stadlen in the cast are Craig Ester, Carolyn Gillespie, Scott Anthony Joy, Sarab Kamoo, Michael Lopetrone, Marie Muhammad, Laura Nguyen, Kevin O’Callaghan, Rico Bruce Wade, and David Wohl.
The production will feature scenic design by Shane Cinal, costume design by Brandon R. McWilliams, lighting design by Chelsie McPhilimy, sound design by Matt Coggins, prop design and set dressing by Miranda Sue Hartmann, and original music by Ben Toth.
Also set to be revived on Broadway this season, Arthur Miller's Pulitzer-winning Death of a Salesman follows Willy Loman as he crumbles under the weight of the American dream. The work premiered on Broadway in 1949 and has since become a familiar title in American theatrical canon.
Stadlen's prolific, more-than-50-year career on Broadway includes Tony-nominated performances in Candide and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, as well as appearances in Minnie's Boys, The Producers, The Nance, Fish in the Dark, and The Front Page.
