All proceeds from the casino-style event will benefit Broadway Cares.

Broadway's official poker tournament Broadway Bets will make its long-awaited return May 22 in a benefit event for Broadway Cares. Held at Sardi's Restaurant, Broadway stars, industry members, and theatre fans will gather for the first Texas Hold 'Em tournament in four years. Both first-timers and seasoned players will have the chance to go all in to win the title of the 2023 Broadway Bets champion. For anyone who reaches the final table, prizes will be awarded.

Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served at 6 PM, with the game beginning at 7 PM. Broadway Bets will provide an open bar through the entire event. For those wanting to observe the game without partaking in it, guest passes are available, which will include access to other casino games and opportunities to win prizes.

Directing the tournament is Foresight Theatrical partner Mark ShacketThe Road Company co-founder Brett Sirota, and Foresight Theatrical associate general manager Alex Wolfe.

Broadway Bets is founded and co-chaired by Jujamcyn Theaters executive vice president emeritus Paul Libin and The Schubert Organization president Robert E. Wankel. Libin is also president emeritus of the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Board of Trustees, and Wankel serves as the current president.
