Drag superstar, comedian, actor, and author Bob The Drag Queen will make his Broadway debut next year in the Tony-winning Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

The performer will step into the role of Harold Zidler starting January 27, 2026, for an eight-week limited engagement through March 22 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Emmy winner Wayne Brady (Let's Make a Deal, The Wiz) currently plays the role through November 9. Robert Petkoff, who can be seen as Zidler in the Moulin Rouge! tour, will succeed Brady on Broadway beginning November 11 and will continue through January 25, 2026.

In a statement Bob the Drag Queen said, “Being on Broadway has always been a dream of mine. I moved to NYC almost 17 years ago to pursue it. Some roads take a while.”

Non-binary comic and actor Caldwell Tidicue, a.k.a. Bob The Drag Queen, won the title of America’s Next Drag Superstar on season 8 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Through his work co-hosting HBO’s unscripted We’re Here, he has been awarded a Peabody Award, GLAAD Media Award, and a Television Academy Honors recognition. Sibling Rivalry, his podcast with fellow Drag Race star Monét X Change, also won a Queerty Award as well as a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Podcast. The multitalented artist was also seen in the third season of The Traitors, was Master of Ceremonies for Madonna’s international Celebration Tour, completed his own world comedy tour, and dropped a comedy special Woke Man in a Dress. His debut novel, Harriet Tubman: Live In Concert, is a New York Times best-seller.

The Broadway company also currently features original Rent star Taye Diggs as The Duke of Monroth (through September 28), Ashley Loren as Satine, and Christian Douglas, in his Broadway debut, as Christian.
