Performances of the new Blue Man Group theatrical production will begin June 1 with an official opening at Universal Orlando Resort's Sharp AQUOS Theatre June 6.

Blue Man Group will create a new show using elements of the existing show as well as new material for the new live performance venue to be accessible from both Universal CityWalk and Universal Studios.

"We are thrilled to offer this exciting new show to our guests," said Universal Orlando Resort president and chief operating officer Bill Davis in a statement. "Blue Man Group is a natural partner for us and will complement the incredible offerings already in place at Universal Orlando Resort."

The Off-Broadway hit — which also plays in Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Berlin, Toronto, and London — remains attuned to pop culture: It recently appeared on "Scrubs," "America's Got Talent," released its "Live at The Venetian – Las Vegas" album on iTunes and unleashed (with Toyquest) a line of Blue Man Group instruments.
