The Blu-ray disk includes special features, such as reminiscences by Heller Halliday, daughter of Mary Martin and Richard Halliday, who played the role of Liza in Peter Pan as well as the 1955 NBC "Telesales Promo" for the first telecast.
The original telecast was recorded just nine days after the musical closed on Broadway. It was directed by Jerome Robbins. The next telecast performance, which featured the same cast, was filmed in 1956.
The cast of Peter Pan also includes Kathy Nolan as Wendy and Sondra Lee as Tiger Lily. Peter Pan, based on the play by J.M. Barrie, features music by Mark Charlap and lyrics by Carolyn Leigh.
