Hosted by Joanna Lumley ("Absolutely Fabulous," La Bete), "Bette Midler: One Night Only" will mark the first time Midler will appear in a TV special for the U.K. It will include musical performances intercut with an interview with Midler, as well as a look back at her career. Songs will include "Wind Beneath My Wings," "From A Distance" and "The Rose," as well as songs from her upcoming album "It’s The Girls!" Midler's Broadway credits include Fiddler on the Roof, Bette Midler's Clams on the Half Shell Revue and Bette! Divine Madness. She received Oscar nominations for Actress in a Leading Role for "For the Boys" and "The Rose." She has recorded 13 studio albums, the first of which, 1972’s "The Divine Miss M," sold over a million copies and earned her a Grammy for Best New Artist.
"I can't believe this is really my first special in the UK," Midler told Deadline. "What have we been waiting for all these years? We're going to have a ball."
