Serenbe Playhouse, the award-winning Georgia Theatre company that has garnered national attention for its site-specific outdoor stagings, has revealed casting for its spring production of Grease, which will run March 23–April 16.
The cast of the Jim Jacobs-Warren Casey musical will include Randi Garza (Evita) as Sandy with Michael Stiggers as Danny, Julissa Sabino as Rizzo, Jeremiah Parker Hobbs (Hair) as Kenickie, Shelli Delgato (Miss Saigon) as Frenchy, Shannon McCarren (Carousel) as Marty, India Tyree as Jan, Leo Thomasian as Doody, Erik Poger Abrahamsen as Roger, Terrence Smith (The Secret Garden) as Sonny, Jacob McKee as Eugene, Brooke Bradley (The Snow Queen) as Patty, Abigail Grace Gabor as Cha Cha, Brian Jordan (Carousel) as Johnny, Lala Cochran (Oklahoma!) as Miss Lynch, with Atlanta FOX 5 news man Paul Milliken as Vince Fontaine. Ensemble members include Bretteney Beverly, Monty Davis, Hao Feng, JD Myers, and Austin Lee Windolph.
Directed by Serenbe artistic director Brian Clowdus, Grease will “evoke memories of a drive-in movie, complete with vintage car seating.” It will have music direction by Chris Brent Davis and choreography by Bubba Carr.
