
She joins the already announced Tom Everett Scott, Julie White and Johnny Galecki. The latter two appeared in the Off-Broadway debut of the comedy at Second Stage. Scott Ellis directs.
Ari Graynor won the 60th annual Clarence Derwent Award for her performance as a sexy literary groupie Alison in Manhattan Theatre Club's production of Donald Margulies' Brooklyn Boy. Since then, she has appeared Off-Broadway in Dog Sees God. She will play Ellen, the pal of Galecki's character.
The Little Dog Laughed satirizes the world of tabloid gossip, Hollywood and celebrities in a story that centers around a Hollywood agent (White), her very up-and-coming boy-toy client (Scott) and a sexy young drifter (Galecki).
The Little Dog Laughed began performances Off-Broadway Dec. 13, 2005 and the opened Jan. 9 to positive critical response, extending the run four more weeks through Feb. 26, 2006.
The original design team transfers to Broadway: Allen Moyer (set), Jeff Mahshie (costumes), Donald Holder (lighting) and original music by Lewis Flinn.
