The benefit for the Acting Company will be presented Nov. 5 at 7 PM at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. Lansbury will be joined onstage by Tony Award winners Boyd Gaines and Harriet Harris as well as Lisa Banes and Lynn Collins. Warner Shook will direct the evening, which features Tom Fontana's adaptations of Dorothy Parker's works.

In a statement actress Lansbury said, "I’ve been Mame Dennis, Mama Rose and Mrs. Lovett, why not Dorothy Parker?" Lansbury chairs the Actors Advisory Board of The Acting Company.

Perhaps best known her for work as TV sleuth Jessica Fletcher on "Murder, She Wrote," Angela Lansbury is one of the most celebrated stars of the Broadway stage. She received Tony Awards for her performances in Sweeney Todd, Gypsy, Dear World and Mame, and she also appeared on The Great White Way in Hotel Paradiso, A Taste of Honey, Anyone Can Whistle, The King and I and A Little Family Business. Her numerous film credits include "Gaslight," "The Picture of Dorian Gray" and "The Manchurian Candidate," all of which brought the actress Academy Award nominations.
