On Your Feet! star Ana Villafañe has been cast in CBS' new comedy pilot, To Whom It May Concern, according to Deadline. The show, which is written by Californication staff writer Mike Metz, centers on Evan, a 20-something living in Pittsburgh who sets out to accomplish a list of challenges he set himself years ago.
This Is Us' Michael Angarano will star as Evan. Villafañe will play series regular Lea Carter, an English teacher who has long been in Evan's romantic sights and who reconnects with him and his friends.
The cast also includes Raymond Ablack (Narcos), Michael Cassidy (People of Earth), Taylor Dearden (Sweet/Vicious), and Briga Heelan (Love).
On screen, Villafañe has been seen in Mozart in the Jungle, South Beach, and Los Americans. As well as leading the Broadway cast of On Your Feet!, she has been seen onstage in Collective Rage: A Play in 5 Betties and the Kennedy Center production of In the Heights.
