The 10 PM concert on Feb. 1 promises a "magical journey weaved by story and song." The young actress, whose late father Eddie Jones was the musical director/vocal arranger of the doo-wop group The Cadillacs, will offer an exploration of her father's influence on her own musical tastes.
As previously reported, veteran dancer-choreographer Maurice Hines will bring back the heyday of Harlem nightlife at the Apollo Theater — which will be transformed into a nightclub venue as part of Apollo Club Harlem — in a new revue set to debut Feb. 18, 22 and 23.
Performers for the latter will include Grammy Award-winning jazz singer Dee Dee Bridgewater, jazz performer Cecile Salvant, street dancer Storyboard P and tap dancer Dormeshia, backed by a cast of dancers and musicians.
