Amber Ardolino, most recently seen on Broadway as Marcia Murphey in A Beautiful Noise, joins the cast of the hit Off-Broadway musical Titanìque March 21.
Ardolino steps into the role of Céline Dion at the Daryl Roth Theatre, succeeding Dee Roscioli, who played her final performance in the part March 16.
Ardolino's other Broadway credits include Hamilton and the original companies of Back to the Future, Funny Girl, Moulin Rouge!, and Head Over Heels. She was also seen as Sherrie in the Las Vegas production of Rock of Ages and in the national tours of Flashdance, Legally Blonde, and West Side Story.
The irreverent send-up of the blockbuster film Titanic, driven by the songs of pop icon Dion, also stars Cassadee Pope as Rose Dewitt Bukater, Max Jenkins as Jack Dawson, Lea DeLaria as Ruth Dewitt Bukater, Andrew Keenan-Bolger as Victor Garber/Luigi, Lisa Howard as The Unsinkable Molly Brown, Callum Francis as Cal, Kyle Ramar Freeman as The Iceberg, Rae Davenport, Sara Gallo, Tess Marshall, and Barnaby Reiter. On March 25, Cassidy Stoner will join the ensemble as a background vocalist.
Titanìque sees Céline Dion leading a tour at the Titanic museum, delivering her version of what really went down between Jack and Rose, to a soundtrack of hits by the iconic singer, including "My Heart Will Go On," "All By Myself," and "To Love You More."
Marla Mindelle and Constantine Rousouli co-wrote the musical with production director Tye Blue. Titanìque features music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Nicholas Connell, choreography by Ellenore Scott, scenic design by Gabriel Hainer Evansohn and Grace Lauchbacher for Iron Bloom Creative Production, costume design by Alejo Vietti, lighting design by Paige Seber, sound design by Lawrence Schober, wig design by Tommy Kurzman, and prop design by Eric Reynolds. Casting is by The Telsey Office's Rachel Hoffman, Henry Russell Bergstein, and Andrew Fern.
The parody musical premiered at the Asylum Theatre in 2022, before transferring to the Daryl Roth.
