Alysha Umphress, Bobby Steggert, Nikki Renée Daniels, and Whitney Bashor are among the stars who will participate in We Go High — Singing Out for Reproductive Justice January 22 at 7 PM at the Triad.
The evening is hosted by Catherine Cohen with music direction by Henry Koperski.
Proceeds will benefit the grassroots advocacy group RHAvote, which was founded by patient advocates affected by New York State’s abortion law. The goal is to eradicate all abortion stigma—specifically the stigma associated with abortion care later in pregnancy.
Joining the four are Tally Sessions, Lauren Molina, Lindsay Nicole Chambers, Karla Mosley, Emily Walton, Geena Quintos, Jonelle Margallo, Shea Renne, Jacob Hoffman, and Emily Walton.
The benefit is organized by Erika Christensen, who has a personal connection to the cause. “After receiving a heartbreaking prenatal diagnosis incompatible with life, I had to travel from Brooklyn to Colorado to end my pregnancy because I was past the 24 week cut-off. This is blatantly unconstitutional,” says RHAvote founder and patient advocate, Erika Christensen.
Admission for We Go High is $50 per person plus a 2 drink minimum.
