The concert, which took place at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA, featured the Boston Pops Orchestra, conducted by Keith Lockhart, and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, who performed an original composition, “The Dream Lives On,” featuring lyrics by Tony Award winner Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime) and music by Peter Boyer.
“This new multi-media work combines quotes from speeches by the Kennedy brothers with original text and video, accompanied by a dramatic orchestral and choral score,” according to press notes. “The choral score is presented by the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, which celebrates its
40th anniversary this summer.”
