After 10 years of celebrating Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Pulitzer Prize-winning musical and the community it inspired, The Hamilcast: A Hamilton Podcast will release its final episode January 26, 2026.

Created and hosted by Gillian Pensavalle, there have been 500 episodes of candid conversations, behind-the-scenes stories, and heartfelt reflections since its debut in January 2016. Final episodes will feature original Tony-winning Angelica Schuyler, Renée Elise Goldsberry; three-time Tony nominee Jennifer Simard (Death Becomes Her); and Hamilton creator and original star Miranda and director Thomas Kail, who will both return to celebrate this milestone. Kail will return for the first time since his two-episode series in 2018, and this will mark Miranda’s third visit to the podcast, following chats in 2017 and 2020.

The announcement of the ending of the podcast—which follows the recent 10th anniversary celebratory Broadway performances of the Tony-winning musical—was made during a #Hamilten event at the South Street Seaport, where Pensavalle hosted a panel of five actors who have played Aaron Burr, all of whom have been on The Hamilcast: Jared Dixon, Nik Walker, Donald Webber, Jr., Deon’te Goodman, and Marc delaCruz.

Over the past decade, The Hamilcast has welcomed original Broadway cast members, global touring company performers, musicians, historians, and artists of all kinds. Listeners have also enjoyed conversations with Alex LacamoireAndy BlankenbuehlerChristopher Jackson, Jonathan Groff, Mandy Gonzalez, Stephanie Klemons, and James Monroe Iglehart, among many others.

The podcast has also spawned a community of Hamilton fans, who Pensavalle has dubbed the Patreon Peeps. These fans have submitted questions to the guests, come together for events, and helped make Hamilton accessible to people all over the world. “This community has been the heartbeat of The Hamilcast,” said Pensavalle, who is also the co-host/creator of the true crime podcast True Crime Obsessed, in a statement. “I am endlessly grateful for their support.”

The Hamilcast’s full archive will remain available for fans old and new to revisit. After a decade and 500 episodes, Pensavalle saw this opportunity as the perfect ending. She and the podcast will be celebrating through the final episode with throwback posts, interviews, events, and reminiscences with the community the podcast has built.
