As part of its 2024 world tour, A Taste of Ireland—The Irish Music & Dance Sensation will make its New York City premiere March 8-15 at The Sheen Center’s Loreto Theater on Bleecker Street.

Directed by Brent Pace, with music by Charlie Galloway, the production features former World Irish dance champions and dancers from the West End’s Lord of the Dance and Riverdance.

The company includes Gavin Shevlin, Sean Michael McHugh, Ciara Loughran, Luke Chaumont, Blaine Donovan, Karaleigh Desmond, Liam Fitzgerald, Ella Giammichele, Rochelle Hoffmann, Callum O’Neill, Fiona Reynolds, and Tyler Watkins plus musicians Charlie Galloway and Erin Rae.

Audiences can expect to be transported through the story of Ireland’s tumultuous history in the production, which bridges the gap between storytelling, modern Irish dance, tap, and contemporary dance. The show also features new versions of such classics as “Danny Boy,” “Tell Me Ma,” “Wild Rover,” and more.

"I am beyond thrilled to unveil A Taste of Ireland in New York City,” says producer and director Pace in a statement. “We hope you’ll join us on an unforgettable journey through the heart and soul of Ireland, where every beat of music and every step of Irish dance tells the captivating story of this remarkable land. It’s an intimate live experience, where each narrative is interwoven with dramatic lighting and breathtaking visual scenery. Every performance and piece of choreography is meticulously crafted to express the depth of these stories, ensuring that you not only witness history but feel it through the movement, music, and dance.”

The production also has scenic design by Gavin Leahy, lighting design by Ben Hughes, vision and sound design by Jack Kearney and Tyler Watkins, technical coordination by Ben Ling, production management by Bob Rogers, associate casting by Sean Michael McHugh, associate lighting design by Meika Clark, studio engineering by Pablo Lafuente, costume consulting by Molly Armstrong, and videography by Sean Higgins.
