New Jersey Repertory Company in Long Branch, New Jersey, officially opens the world premiere of Michael Tucker's A Tailor Near Me July 29 after beginning previews July 27. Performances will continue through August 27.
Tony nominee Richard Kind (Curb Your Enthusiasm) stars opposite James Pickens, Jr. (Grey's Anatomy), with James Glossman directing.
The new play centers on a man who takes a pair of pants to a local tailor only to end up commissioning a custom suit that will change both of their lives.
The production features scenic design by Jessica Parks, lighting design by Jill Nagle, sound design by Nick Simone, and costume design by Patricia E. Doherty. Brian Snyder is technical director, and Rose Riccardi is production stage manager.
