We're still at the cottage.
A new, unofficial parody musical of the hit show Heated Rivalry will run Off-Broadway this spring.
Initially playing the Laurie Beechman Theater, the productions will play a selection of dates throughout March, including March 14, 16, 17, and 18. All four Beechman dates are already sold out, so an additional run at The Bell House in Brooklyn has been scheduled for March 23 and 24.
Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody describes itself as follows: "Follow starry-eyed golden boy Shane Hollander in his journey from power center to power bottom. See all of your favorite moments from the series that made you wet (with tears) up close on the small stage by an incredible cast of Broadway actors who thought they were auditioning to be in season two. With a pop-infused score of toe-tapping original songs, scene-stealing cameos by characters like Rose Landry and Ilya's Ass, and time jumps that absolutely no one can keep track of, audiences will find themselves hot, bothered, and possibly saying, '...Girl!' Because with love, sometimes it comes when you least expect it... and sometimes, it comes hands-free."
Starring Jay Armstrong Johnson (Parade) as Ilya Rozanov and Zachary Noah Piser (Dear Evan Hansen) as Shane Hollander, the production will also feature Ryann Redmond (Bring It On The Musical, Frozen), Cherry Torres (Hamilton), and Ryan Duncan (Titaníque, Shrek). Casting is subject to change for the Bell House run.
The show is written by Dylan MarcAurele, winner of the 2025 Jonathan Larson Grant and the 2023 Richard Rodgers Award. The piece will be directed by Alan Kliffer, the former Artistic Director of Asylum NYC and The Second City; and produced by Klif Entertainment.
