A First Look at God Said This at the Cherry Lane Theatre

The Off-Broadway premiere of Leah Nanako Winkler's God Said This, directed by Morgan Gould and presented by Primary Stages, is set to open at the Cherry Lane Theatre January 29 after beginning preview performances January 16. The play, which won the 2018 Yale Drama Series Prize and had its world premiere last year at the Humana Festival, is scheduled to run through February 15.

God Said This paints a portrait of five Kentuckians facing mortality in very different ways. Gould directs a cast made up of Satomi Blair, Ako, Tom Coiner, Emma Kikue, and Jay Patterson.
