Conceived and originally directed and choreographed by Michael Bennett, A Chorus Line has a book James Kirkwood and Nicholas Dante, music by Marvin Hamlisch and lyrics by Edward Kleban. The original New York production was co-choreographed by Bob Avian.
The 5th Avenue production is directed by David Bennett with choreography recreated by Kerry Casserly.
The cast comprises Chryssie Whitehead as Cassie, Andrew Palermo as Zach, Greg McCormick Allen as Larry, Katrina Asmar as Morales, Scott Brateng as Greg, Gabriel Corey as Mike, Taryn Darr as Val, Sarah Rose Davis as Maggie, Stephen Diaz as Paul, Eric Esteb as Don, Paul Flanagan as Al, Meaghan Foy as Val (Sept. 14-28 only), Charlie Johnson as Bobby, Mallory King as Kristine, McKayla Marso as Judy, Trina Mills as Sheila, Taylor Niemeyer as Bebe, Richard Peacock as Richie, Connor Russell as Mark and Momoko Sugai as Connie with Kyle Bernbach, Ulyber Mangune, Nick Perry, Sarah Shepler, Michael Stumpfig, Indeah Thomaier, Sydney Buckley, Ethan Carpenter and Carly Herbert.
A Chorus Line is described as "the musical for everyone who has ever put it all on the line in pursuit of their dreams."
The creative team includes lighting designer Tom Sturge, scenic coordinator Erik Holden, costume coordinator Michelle Terese Grimm and hair and makeup designer Mary Jones.
