Theatrical Rights Worldwide has released licensing rights for Never Can Say Goodbye: The 70s Beehive Musical, which is now available for new productions worldwide. The title, featuring a book by Fred Stuart, is a spiritual follow-up to Larry Gallagher's '60s jukebox musical Beehive.
Developed by TRW Production, the work is described by producer Michael McFadden as "a high-energy tribute to sisterhood," and is written for a flexible cast of six. The score—which features arrangements, orchestrations, and additional music by George Luton—features songs made famous by Gloria Gaynor, Heart, Linda Ronstadt, and more.
The musical made its world premiere at New York's Mac-Haydn Theatre last year.
Theatres producing Never Can Say Goodbye, or any of TRW's catalogue, can make their own Broadway-quality Playbill programs using PLAYBILLDER, Playbill's fully customizable program creation platform—the only authorized way to have a real Playbill, complete with the iconic yellow-and-black logo, at a school production. Users can auto-populate their program with all the TRW-approved data for the show, including billing information and song and character lists.
