Cabaret & Concert News 3rd Act of Truth Future Bachman's Queer Superhero Musical Shapeshifters to Debut at Lincoln Center

Second Sight, described as a "queer thriller," will get a free performance at the David Rubenstein Atrium next month.

The third act of Truth Future Bachman's queer superhero musical series Shapeshifters has set a debut performance for Lincoln Center's David Rubenstein Atrium. Second Sight will perform there October 3, with the 7:30 PM performance free and open to the public.

The musical follows Bachman's earlier Shapeshifters entries Luna & the Starbodies and Skyward: An Ending Elegy, following a doctor who flees to the outskirts of society and finds a group of outcasts who have struck up an unlikely and erotic coalition.

Zhailon Levington (Table 17Cats: "The Jellicle Ball") is directing the upcoming performance, leading a creative team that also includes music directors and arrangers Josh Kight and Steven Tran.

The cast will feature Bachman, Jordan Dobson (Bad Cinderella), Z Infante (Kiss My Aztec!), Keiji Ishiguri (Cabaret), Ebonée Noel (FBI), Pauli Pontrelli (The Visitor), Maya Sharpe (Hair), Kaytie Scott, and Zia (Rent). Kight is leading the band, which also includes Zandra Azoulay, Buffi Jacobs, Ian Jesse, Matt San Giovanni, and Phil Varricchio.
