Zuri Washington stars as Deloris Van Cartier in the Westchester Broadway Theatre production of Sister Act, which is currently running through July 1.
Sister Act has a score by Tony and Academy Award winner Alan Menken (Newsies, Leap of Faith, Beauty and the Beast) and Glenn Slater (Leap of Faith, Love Never Dies). The musical premiered on Broadway March 24, 2011, at the Broadway Theatre after a 2009 London debut.
The musical has a book by Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane (The Little Dog Laughed, Lysistrata Jones) and Emmy Award winners Cheri and Bill Steinkellner.
The cast also features Mary Jo McConnell (Mother Superior), Lani Corson (Sister Mary Robert), Ken Jennings (Monsignor O'Hara), Philip Michael Baskerville (Curtis Shank), Danny Wilfred (Eddie Souther), Corben Williams (TJ), Jayson Elliott (Joey), Mike D'Amico (Pablo), Sandy Rosenberg (Sister Mary Lazarus), and Katelyn Lauria (Sister Mary Patrick).
The ensemble includes Melanie Burg, Joanna Caruso, Sincee Daniels, Hannah Eakin, Hector Flores Jr., Keyonna Knight, Jose Plaza, T. Shyvonne Stewart, Jessi St. George, Stephanie Sable, and Karen Webb.
Donna Drake directs and choreographs the production that has musical direction by Bob Bray, set design by Steve Loftus, lighting design by Andrew Gmoser, and sound design by Mark Zuckerman. The costume coordinator is Heather Carey, and wig/hair design is by Gerard Kelly. Rhonda Miller is the associate choreographer.
