The creators of #HAM4BEY and #GAGA4RENT have dropped their latest music video, featuring a mashup of songs from The Lion King ahead of the new film’s debut in cinemas nationwide July 19.
India Carney sings the blend of the newly penned “Spirit,” sung by Beyoncé in the film, and the original The Lion King opener “Circle of Life.”
With a vocal arrangement by Bryson Camper, the video was filmed by Baxter Stapleton and created and produced by Michael Korte.

The musical adaptation of The Lion King currently plays Broadway’s Minskoff Theatre. It is the third-longest-running Broadway show in history, coming up on its 22nd anniversary in November 2019. Based on the 1997 animated film, it includes music by Elton John and Tim Rice with additional music and lyrics by Lebo M, Mark Mancina, Jay Rifkin, Julie Taymor and Hans Zimmer.
