San Diego's Old Globe Theatre has released a sizzle reel for its world-premiere production of The Heart of Rock & Roll, a new musical inspired by the music of Huey Lewis and the News. Watch highlights from the show, which opened September 17, in the video above.

The Heart of Rock & Roll continues its run through October 21. The story follows Chicago musician Bobby, played by Matt Doyle, who trades in his guitar for a corporate job in the face of too many rejections. There, he meets Cassandra, played by Katie Rose Clark, who's made sacrifices of her own.
Completing the cast are Lindsay Nicole Chambers as Nina, Patrice Covington as Roz, John Dossett as Stone, Paige Faure as Paige, F. Michael Haynie as Glenn, Orville Mendoza as Fjord, Lucas Papaelias as JJ, Zachary Noah Piser as Eli, Christopher Ramirez as Wyatt, and Billy Harrigan Tighe as Tucker.
The Heart of Rock & Roll features a book by Jonathan Abrams, a story by Tyler Mitchell and Abrams, and orchestral arrangements by Brian Usifer.
The ensemble includes Nicolette Burton, Lindsay Nicole Chambers, James Royce Edwards, Oyoyo Joi, Robert Pendilla, Christopher Ramirez, MiMi Scardulla, Salisha Thomas, and Josh Tolle, as well as swings Bryan Banville and Katie Banville.
