As part of this year's Best in Shows cabaret, The Band's Visit actor Adam Kantor took to the stage to perform his soaring musical number, "Answer Me"—to a dog. The evening took place at Feinstein's/54 Below on October 15 with proceeds benefiting the Humane Society of New York.

In addition to special guests appearances by two and four-legged friends, the concert also featured performances by Sierra Boggess (The Little Mermaid, School of Rock), Ana Gasteyer (Wicked, Saturday Night Live), Joanna Gleason (Into the Woods, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Tony winner Lindsay Mendez (Carousel, Significant Other), Hugh Panaro (The Phantom of the Opera, Lestat), Christine Pedi (Sirius XM Radio, Spamilton), Kate Rockwell (Mean Girls), Marc Shaiman (Hairspray, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Smash), Betsy Wolfe (Waitress, The Last Five Years), and Tony winner Karen Ziemba (Contact, Bullets Over Broadway).
Best in Shows saluted SiriusXM radio host and Playbill contributor Seth Rudetsky, who received the society's Sandy Fund Award in recognition of his concern and support of the needs of rescued animals.
The 7 PM concert was presented by Dorothy and Bill Berloni. Rudetsky also served as host and music director for the evening.
