Viva Broadway will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a free outdoor event September 25 in Times Square. The hour-long event, which will take place from 5–6 PM in Duffy Square, will feature musical performances and appearances from a host of current and recent Broadway stars, as well as special guest appearances.

Performers will be announced at a later date.

Last year's event was co-hosted by Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and stage and screen star John Leguizamo, with performances by Mandy Gonzalez, Emma Pfaeffle, Rodney Ingram, and Ana Villafañe and the cast of On Your Feet!

An audience engagement initiative of the Broadway League, Viva Broadway aims to connect Latinx theatregoers with Broadway—not only in New York, but across the U.S. The program also organizes talkbacks and special events to bring families and students to see shows, inspiring the next generation of Latinx theatre artists.

The September 25 celebration is sponsored by Charter and the Hispanic Federation with the support of the Times Square Alliance and Clear Channel Outdoor.
