Roundabout Theatre Company's Broadway revival of Sam Shepard's True West, directed by James Macdonald, opens at the American Airlines Theatre January 24.
Ethan Hawke and Paul Dano star as Lee and Austin, respectively, in Shepard’s Pulitzer Prize-nominated drama about two brothers holed up in their mother's California house.
Performances of True West began December 27, 2018. Completing the cast are Marylouise Burke and Gary Wilmes.
True West debuted on Broadway in 2000 with stars John C. Reilly and Philip Seymour Hoffman swapping roles nightly. The production received four Tony Award nominations: nods to both alternating stars, director Matthew Warchus, and Best Play.
The Roundabout Broadway revival features a creative team that includes Mimi Lien (sets), Kaye Voyce (costumes), Jane Cox (lights), Bray Poor (sound design), Tom Watson (hair and wig design), and Jim Carnahan (casting).
