News Tom Hewitt, Steve Blanchard, Noah Galvin Set for Treasure Island at Irondale Center Tony Award-nominated actor Tom Hewitt will star as the villainous Long John Silver in B.H. Barry’s stage adaptation of the Robert Louis Stevenson adventure classic Treasure Island at the Irondale Center in Brooklyn.

Set to run Feb. 15-March 26, Treasure Island has been adapted by veteran Tony Award-winning fight director Barry (The Life, City of Angels, An Inspector Calls). Barry will direct his adaptation, which is co-authored by Vernon Morris. An official opening has been set for March 5.

In addition to Hewitt (Rocky Horror, Dracula, The Lion King), the cast will feature Noah Galvin (The Burnt Part Boys) as young Jim Hawkins, Steve Blanchard (Beauty and the Beast) as Smollett, Drama Desk nominee Rocco Sisto (Quills) as Dr. Livesey and Kenneth Tigar (Translations) as Squire Trelawney.

Treasure Island will also include John Ahlin (Waiting for Godot, Journey's End), Tom Beckett (Epic Proportions), Rod Brogan (Mauritius), Josh Clayton ("Ghost Town"), Michael Gabriel Goodfriend ("Helter Skelter"), Ken Schatz ("Finding Graceland") and Philip Willingham.

Barry has been at work on the stage adaptation of Treasure Island for over a decade. Previous reports stated that Treasure Island would arrived on Broadway in the summer of 2007, initially capitalized at a cost of $3.5 million.
