The Vineyard Theatre’s fall production of Harry Clarke, a solo play by David Cale that was performed by Tony winner Billy Crudup, is now available on Audible. The Off-Broadway production, directed by Leigh Silverman, opened November 21, 2017, and was twice-extended following audience demand and positive reviews from critics.
In Harry Clarke, Crudup stars as a shy, Midwestern man masquerading as a highbrow Londoner in New York City. As he charms his way into a wealthy family’s life, his increasingly risky and dangerous behavior threatens to unravel his persona.
Also included in the purchase of Harry Clarke on Audible is Cale's Obie Award-winning solo play Lillian, performed by the playwright. The running time is 3 hours and 14 minutes. To purchase the package and for more information, click here.
As previously reported, the Vineyard production of Harry Clarke marked the first collaboration between the theatre and Audible.
Crudup earned a Tony Award in 2007 for his performance in The Coast of Utopia. He received previous nominations for the 2002 revival of The Elephant Man, The Pillowman, and in the 2011 production of Arcadia. He has since appeared on Broadway in the repertory productions of Waiting for Godot and No Man’s Land.
