The Prom Opens on Broadway November 15
Casey Nicholaw directs and choreographs the new musical comedy, about a group of Broadway eccentrics who infiltrate a conservative, Midwest town.
Let the dancing commence: The Prom has made it to Broadway. The new musical comedy opens November 15 at the Longacre Theatre, following previews that began October 23. Casey Nicholaw directs and choreographs the show, which features a book by his Aladdin collaborator, Chad Beguelin, and fellow Tony winner Bob Martin, music by Matthew Sklar, and lyrics by Beguelin.
The musical, directed and choreographed by Nicholaw, tells the story of an Indiana high schooler barred from bringing her girlfriend to the prom—and the group of eccentric Broadway folk who infiltrate the town in an earnest, misguided attempt to fight the injustice.
