The official trailer for Disney’s live action Beauty and the Beast has been released. The minute the tinkling of the prologue piano begins, viewers are transported to an enchanted world.
The two-minute glimpse at the highly-anticipated feature film based on the 1991 Disney animated classic gives viewers a fuller picture of what to expect come on the release date of March 17, 2017. The castle is as magical and grand as one would hope, and Alan Menken’s music even more so. In the excerpt, viewers can see the famous scene where Belle (Emma Watson) trades her freedom to save her father (Kevin Kline). The trailer reveals the CGI-animated Beast (Dan Stevens), Lumiere (Ewan McGregor), Cogsworth (Ian McKellen), Chip (Nathan Mack), and Mrs. Potts (Emma Thompson).
No sound of anyone singing in this particular spot, but this teaser has certainly raised expectations:
