Alice Ripley, Lena Hall, and more came out for the 10th annual Living for Today benefit concert October 23 at Joe’s Pub. The concert was a fundraiser for Gilana’s Fund, which raises money for educational programming “promoting acceptance and understanding of our communities, each other, and ourselves.”
Living for Today was created by director-producer David Alpert in 2008, a year after the passing of his sister Gilana Alpert at the age of 26. To date, Gilana’s Fund has helped raised more than $50,000, and benefited numerous non-profit organizations nationwide.
