The Manhattan Theatre Club's Broadway revival of Saint Joan officially opens April 25 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre with Condola Rashad (A Doll's House, Part 2) playing the lead role of Joan.
Saint Joan follows the historical 15th-century story of Joan of Arc, a French peasant who believes that two saints and one of the archangels audibly spoke to her and called her to join the military as an order from God. She is then put on trial because women were not allowed to join the military.
