The world premiere of Wise Children, an adaptation of Angela Carter's novel directed and adapted for the stage by Emma Rice, officially opened at London's Old Vic October 17. The play looks at the lives of twin chorus girls, Dora and Nora Chance, and their wildly theatrical family.

The first production from Rice's new company, also titled Wise Children, performances are scheduled to run through November 10 ahead of a U.K. tour. The cast is made up of Sam Archer, Ankur Bahl, Stu Barker, Omari Douglas, Mirabelle Gremaud, Alex Heane, Paul Hunter, Melissa James, Bettrys Jones, Patrycja Kujawska, Etta Murfitt, Katy Owen, Ian Ross, Gareth Snook, and Mike Shepherd.
