Irish Repertory Theater celebrated the official opening of Bill Irwin's On Beckett October 3. Conceived and performed by Tony winner Irwin, the play is inspired by the writings of celebrated playwright Samuel Beckett.
In On Beckett, Irwin draws on his experience as a clown and actor to explore a performer’s relationship to Beckett, referencing such well-known works as Waiting for Godot, Endgame, and Texts for Nothing.
Performances of On Beckett began September 26 at Irish Rep. The show stars Irwin with a guest appearance by Finn O’Sullivan.
