Playwright and actor Ngozi Anyanwu is set to return to the role of Nkechi in the Off-Broadway premiere of her play Good Grief at the Vineyard Theatre this fall. In the video above, Anyanwu, director Awoye Timpo, and cast members Nnamdi Asomugha, Hunter Parrish, and Ian Quinlan discuss the play, the experiences that inspired it, and what to expect from the upcoming production.

Performances of Good Grief will begin October 11 ahead of an October 30 opening night.

Anyanwu returns to the role of Nkechi after having starred in the world premiere at Center Theatre Group in Los Angeles. Completing the cast Off-Broadway are Oberon K.A. Adjepong, Lisa Ramirez, and Patrice Johnson Chevannes.

Anyanwu's other plays include The Homecoming Queen, Victory Is Ours and Nike or We Don't Need Another Hero, which was recently workshopped at The New Black Fest.
