Before Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune opens at the Broadhurst Theatre May 30, its stars sat down with Playbill for Nespresso's Coffee Talk. In the video above, six-time Tony winner Audra McDonald and two-time Oscar nominee Michael Shannon discuss working together, and bringing Terrence McNally's classic back to Broadway; the show marks McNally's 25th Broadway production. Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune debuted Off-Broadway in 1987 and was later seen on Broadway in 2002. The play tells the story of a waitress and a short-order cook's first date that turns into something more.

Directed by Arin Arbus, the creative team for the Broadway revival includes Riccardo Hernandez (sets), Emily Rebholz (costumes), Natasha Katz (lighting), Nevin Steinberg (sound), J. Jared Janas (hair, wig, and makeup), Laurie Goldfeder (production stage manager), and 101 Productions, Ltd. (general manager).
