Natalie Charle Ellis (School of Rock) and Danny Gardner (Dames at Sea) will join the cast of Neurosis, now playing at the DR2 Theatre Off-Broadway, beginning September 26. The new musical is about finding happiness and love while dealing with the little voice inside your head.
Gardner will replace Kevin Zak in the role of Frank, and Ellis will take over for Casey Erin Clark in the role of Samantha.
Neurosis features a book by Allan Rice, music by Ben Green, and lyrics by Greg Edwards. The production is directed by Andy Sandberg with choreography by Shea Sullivan. The show currently runs in repertory at DR2 with the musical R.R.R.E.D.
The cast also includes Brennan Caldwell, Jennifer Blood, Joel Blum, Susan J. Jacks, Ian Michael Stuart, and Morgan Weed.
The production features music direction by David Aaron Brown, scenic design by Charlie Corcoran (Shining City, Irish Rep), lighting design by Jake DeGroot (Oh, Hello), costume design by Tony Award nominee Michael McDonald (Hair), sound design by David Sanderson (Pageant), cand asting by Jason Styres, CSA & Andrea Zee, CSA.
Neurosis began performances July 25 and officially opened August 17. The limited run is scheduled through October 7.
