Hannah Dunne, who appears on the Amazon series Mozart in the Jungle, will play Emma opposite Molly Ringwald (Sixteen Candles, Enchanted April) as her mother, Aurora Greenway, in the American premiere of Dan Gordon’s stage adaptation of Terms of Endearment.
The play is based on the book by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Larry McMurtry and the Oscar-winning screenplay by James L. Brooks, which traces the love/hate relationship between a mother and her independent daughter.
Shirley MacLaine won an Oscar for playing the role on screen opposite Debra Winger as her daughter. The film won the 1983 Academy Award for Best Picture.

Performances of Terms of Endearment are set to begin October 29, for a limited engagement scheduled to run through December 11. Michael Parva directs for The Directors Company at 59E59 Theaters Off-Broadway.
