Performances began October 23 at the Signature Theatre for the Off-Broadway revival of Will Eno's Thom Pain (based on nothing), a monologue play about a man who is desperately, and hilariously, trying to save his own life. Golden Globe winner Michael C. Hall stars as Thom Pain with direction by The Debate Society's Oliver Butler (The Amateurs) .
Thom Pain (based on nothing) will officially open November 11 and has been extended through December 2 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center.
The revival is the first Legacy production since Eno completed his five-year residency at the Signature. His time at the Off-Broadway theatre included productions of his play Title and Deed and the world premieres of The Open House and Wakey, Wakey.
The creative team for Thom Pain includes Amy Rubin (scenic design), Anita Yavich (costume design), Jen Schriever (lighting design), and Lee Kinney (sound design). Charles M. Turner III is the production stage manager. Casting is by Caparelliotis Casting.
