Off-Broadway News Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, Starring Robert Fairchild, Opens Off-Broadway December 27 The American in Paris Tony nominee makes his debut as choreographer on the play with music about the creation of Shelley's Gothic novel.

An American in Paris Tony Award nominee Robert Fairchild stars in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, a new play with music that officially opens December 27 following previews that began December 21 at The Pershing Square Signature Center. The production continues through January 7, 2018.

Fairchild, who announced his departure from New York City Ballet in September, makes his debut as choreographer on the Off-Broadway production in which he also stars as The Creature.

Ensemble for the Romantic Century presents the world premiere by Eve Wolf that parallels the creation of Shelley’s enduring Gothic novel Frankenstein with details of her own life as told through excerpts from Frankenstein and Shelley’s personal letters and private diaries. The production incorporates compositions by Bach and Schubert.

Directed by Donald T. Sanders, the cast also includes Avey Noble, Krysty Swann, Mia Vallet, Peyton Lusk, Rocco Sisto, Shiv Ajay Pancholi-Parekh, and Paul Wesley.
